Hannah Dreissigacker (born December 2, 1986 in Morrisville , Vermont ) is an American biathlete and cross-country skier . Dreissigacker studied at Dartmouth College , for whose ski team she also competed.

Private life

Hannah Dreissigacker's mother Judy Geer took part as a rower in the 1976 and 1984 Olympic Games , her father Dick Dreissigacker is a five-time American rowing champion, took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and later founded the rowing and rowing division with his brother Peter Cross-country skiing equipment supplier Concept2 . Her siblings Emily (* 1988) and Ethan (* 1991) are also biathletes.

Career

Hannah Dreissigacker has been participating in international FIS cross-country skiing races since 2002, followed by races in the Nor-Am Cup and the US Super Tour . She achieved top ten results in almost 20 races. She competed in her first international biathlon race at the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää , where she was 52nd in the individual, 38th in the sprint, 41st in the pursuit and ninth in the relay race with Annelies Cook , Laura Spector and Susan Dunklee . She had already achieved second places in the highest continental racing series in a sprint and a pursuit race during the 2009/10 Biathlon NorAm Cup in Jericho . She was ninth in the overall standings.

On January 17, 2013, she made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup at the sprint in Antholz . She collected her first World Cup points in the 2013/14 season at the Kontiolahti sprint . At the end of the season, she finished 88th overall. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she reached a weak 75th place in the sprint. In the mixed relay, Dreissigacker and her teammates took sixth place. After rank 23 in the individual, she was seventh in the relay.
