Hans Christoph von Bardeleben

Hans Christoph von Bardeleben (* 1666 in Mittenwalde , † the thirtieth April 1736 in Wesel ) was a Prussian lieutenant general of the infantry, Governor of Wesel and Amtshauptmann of three lives .

Life

origin

His parents were the Brandenburg Rittmeister and heir to Satzkorn and Hoppenrade, Hans Christian von Bardeleben (* 1617 - 17 October 1682) and his wife Ilse von Berge († 26 January 1683).

Military career

Bardeleben was a common soldier in the Regiment of the Guards on Foot in 1687, as were two of his brothers. In the Palatinate War of Succession he fought against France. In 1690 he became an ensign and in 1699 he joined the grenadiers . In 1705 he became a captain. Bardeleben was a major when he became governor of Zossen and Trebbin on August 26, 1710 . He was then transferred to the “Stille” regiment and on March 4, 1712, he was a colonel . On July 14, 1723, the king appointed him major general and chief of the newly established Fusilier Regiment No. 29 in Wesel. A few years later he was promoted to lieutenant general and in 1733 appointed governor of Wesel. There he died on April 30, 1736.

Bardeleben was the heir to Ribbeck , Selbelang and Glambeck (near Angermünde ).

He was married to Maria Tugendreich von Barfuß (* 1671; † after 1731). She was the widow of Friedrich Wilhelm von Ahlimb . The future Colonel Bernhard Friedrich von Ahlimb was his stepson. He and his wife had several children including:
