Hans Rauscher

Hans Rauscher (born December 11, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian journalist and book author .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1963, Rauscher studied newspaper science and history at the University of Vienna . In 1965 he came to the magazine Der Österreichische Volkswirt . In 1970 he was one of the founders of the business magazine Trend .

In 1974 he founded a. a. with Peter Piller and Georg Waldstein the weekly business magazine Ecco , which was supported by the daily newspaper Kurier . From 1975 to 1996 he worked for the courier , where he initially wrote the glossary on the front page. From 1977 to 1980 he was the head of the Sunday courier . In 1980 he became deputy editor-in-chief and head of the domestic affairs department. From 1984 he wrote foreign policy commentaries. From 1992 to 1996 he was editor-in-chief . Moreover, he was u. a. Guest commentator for the news magazine Profil and the business magazine Wirtschaftswoche .

In 1997, Rauscher became a columnist for the daily newspaper Der Standard and the weekly magazine Format .
