Johann Sipötz
Johann (Hans) Sipötz , (born October 10, 1941 in Pamhagen ) was Governor of Burgenland from October 30, 1987 to July 18, 1991.
Live and act
Hans Sipötz, a secondary school teacher by profession, surprisingly became the successor of Governor Theodor Kery, who resigned after the loss of the absolute majority , despite a pact between the ÖVP and FPÖ to elect the ÖVP candidate Franz Sauerzopf . As a result, the SPÖ politician got caught in the turmoil of the Waldheim affair and was accused of false testimony, but acquitted , in the wake of the trial for the transcript of Ottilie Matysek , like numerous parliamentary group colleagues.
Hans Sipötz's successor was the previous finance officer, Karl Stix . From 1993 to 2000, Sipötz was the second President of the State Parliament.
