Hansjürgen Bulkowski (born April 26, 1938 in Berlin - Schmargendorf ) is a German writer .

Hansjürgen Bulkowski grew up in the Berlin district of Schmargendorf . From 1957 to 1961 he was an employee of the Federal Miners' Union in Bochum . After completing an apprenticeship as a qualified librarian at the Cologne Librarian Training Institute of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , he worked from 1964 to 1969 as a librarian at the Krefeld city library. From 1966 he went public with literary texts, readings and happenings .

In 1968 he took part in the so-called "Action 68" around the artist Hans-Peter Alvermann. In 1968 he co-founded the so-called "LIDL room" in Düsseldorf (together with Chris Reinecke, Jörg Immendorff and Wolfgang Feelisch).

From 1969 Bulkowski was a freelance writer in Düsseldorf . From 1968 to 1978 he lectured on the subjects of “literature” and “media studies” at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences . In 1973 he became a co-founder of the authors and artists group RE'UN'ANZ . Between 1978 and 1986 Bulkowski was in charge of a literature workshop in Düsseldorf.

1978: Encounter with Walter Höllerer, participation in his "World Egg Festival" 1979 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg . Publication of two stories (about Norbert Wiener and Albert Einstein) in Walter Höllerer's series "LCB Editions". In 1982 and 1983 he was the editor of LITERATURE AT A GLANCE Düsseldorf (together with Niklas Stiller and Peter Glaser). From 1983: translations of the Dutch- speaking avant-garde (including Paul von Ostaijen, Theo van Doesburg). From 1988 to 2013: Participation in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Committee of Deutsche Künstlerhilfe.

Since 2007 literary legacy in the archive of the Akademie der Künste Berlin, partly also in the Heinrich Heine Institute in Düsseldorf. 2012 stay in Tunis (report in the magazine Merkur ). From the beginning of 2013 his poetopias are sent weekly by email .

Since the late 1970s, Bulkowski lived in Meerbusch-Osterath in the Rhineland for many years . From August 2008 he will be living in Schmargendorf again.

Hansjürgen Bulkowski is the author of short prose , poetry , radio plays and has published a. a. in "Rowohlt Literaturmagazin", octopus , copybook , "New Rhineland. Journal for Landscape and Culture", Litfaß , language in the technical age , Signum , new German literature , Merkur and others. v. a. Hansjürgen Bulkowski has been a member of the Association of German Writers since 1972 . In addition to a number of grants from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia , he received a. a. 1980 the office of town clerk of Soltau , 1991 a scholarship from the artists ' village Schöppingen , 1993 a scholarship from the "Vertalershuis Amsterdam" and 1996 a scholarship from the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop . In 1997 he received a scholarship at the Vertalershuis Löwen , and in 1999 a foreign scholarship from the Foreign Office in Warsaw .
