The Hapoel Haifa Football Club ( Hebrew מועדון כדורגל הפועל חיפה) is an Israeli soccer club in Haifa .
The association that emerged from the labor movement was founded in 1924. The word Hapoel is Hebrew for workers . Until 2014, the club played its home games in the Kiryat Eliezer Stadium , which opened in 1955 and has a capacity of 14,000 and was also used by Maccabi Haifa . For the 2014/15 season , Hapoel moved to the new Sammy Ofer Stadium with 30,780 seats.
