Vardon Trophy

The Vardon Trophy is an award for professional golfers and is awarded annually by the PGA of America . The award goes to the US PGA Tour golfer who , on average, needs the fewest strokes per round. Only players who have played at least 60 rounds are considered. This award has been given since 1937, initially according to a point system, and since 1947 according to the average number of strokes required. It is named after Harry Vardon .

Luke Donald is the first player to win both money lists in the same year.

Harry Vardon Trophy

The PGA European Tour awards its own trophy called Harry Vardon Trophy every year to the winner of the money list (from 2009: Race to Dubai , before that European Tour Order of Merit ). The award is linked to ten years of eligibility to play on the tour. It has been awarded since 1937, long before the PGA Europaan Tour was founded.

The Scot Colin Montgomerie has received the award eight times and is the most successful ahead of the Spaniard Severiano Ballesteros , who won the trophy six times.
