Reviews

  • Vincent Canby wrote in The New York Times on March 2, 1984 that the drama was a mess. The script has no focus. Paul Newman's direction seems like a debut work.
  • Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times that the film was a film "about everything". It contains so many problems and relationships that one cannot find one's way around.
