Hartwich Leberecht von Naumeister (* 1707 on Gut Großen-Salza ; † January 12, 1760 in Schweidnitz ) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel and chief of the Naumeister grenadier battalion .

Life

origin

His parents were the chamberlain Johann Erdmann (Erhard) von Naumeister and Magdalena Sophia von Lattorff (* 1682), daughter of Hans Wilhelm von Lattorff. The Prussian Major General Johann Siegismund von Lattorff was his mother's younger stepbrother.

Career

In 1725 he came to the infantry regiment "Gersdorf" (No. 18) , where he was ensign in 1730 and premier-lieutenant in 1740 and fought in both Silesian Wars .

In 1750 he became a captain , in the Seven Years' War he came as a major in the infantry regiment "Oldenburg" (S 52) formed from Saxony captured near Pirna , and he was given the character of a lieutenant colonel. But the regiment broke up, the remaining soldiers were distributed to other regiments. Naumeister received a grenadier battalion in 1758, which was composed of the grenadier companies of the infantry regiments "Schwerin" (No. 24) and "Prince Ferdinand" (No. 34) . But he died on January 12, 1760 in Schweidnitz. The grenadier battalion was taken over by Karl Franz von Sobeck .

family

He was married to Wilhelmine Sophie von Schöning († 1785). She was a daughter of the war council Hans Ernst von Schöning (1684–1752). Children are not known.
