Heike Fedderke

Heike Fedderke (born August 22, 1947 in Wischhafen , Lower Saxony ) is a German author who mainly publishes in Low German .

Life

Fedderke grew up in the Kehdinger Land . After finishing school, she first did an apprenticeship as a tax assistant . She later worked as a secretary at the elementary school in Assel , where she was head of the Low German Working Group .

The author has been dealing with Low German since 1985. She published her first stories and poems , mostly from her own life, under the pseudonym Anna Catharina . She became known by name in northern Germany through her multiple participation in the NDR competition Vertell , where her contributions always made it into the final selection of the best stories and through her work as a columnist for the Stader Tageblatt . For years she has been involved in various initiatives to promote the Low German language.

Heike Fedderke is married and has lived with her husband in Heikendorf on the Kieler Förde since 2007 and continues to devote herself to maintaining the Low German language.
