Heike Fischer (born September 7, 1982 in Demmin ) is a former German diver .
She lives in Leipzig , is sporting a soldier of the army and studied at the AKAD Fachhochschule Leipzig Business Administration . She was trained by her mother Margit Fischer and previously by her father Uwe Fischer at SC DHfK Leipzig . She has been commenting on water jumping competitions for the German-language version of the Eurosport channel since the 2009 European Championship .
Her greatest sporting success was winning the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in the 3-meter synchronized competition with Ditte Kotzian . The duo also won silver at the 2007 World Cup in Melbourne and twice silver at European Championships .
In the individual, Fischer was able to win three medals at European championships and one bronze at the 2005 World Championships in Montreal , each in jumping from the 1-meter board.
She ended her career after the 2008 Olympics.
In 2014, Heike Fischer-Jung, as she is called today, was portrayed by the Leipzig writers Volly Tanner and Lene Hoffmann for her book “City Talks from Leipzig”, in which she tells of her life after the end of her sporting career.
Heike Fischer-Jung is a public relations officer at the Leipzig Olympic Training Center . She also acts as Vice President for competitive sports at the State Sports Association of Saxony and is youth warden at SC DHfK Leipzig.
