Homesickness - wanderlust
Heimweh - Fernweh is a jukebox musical that was written by Max Sieber and premiered at the Lucerne Exhibition Center in December 2019. Curtis Burger directed the choreography . A total of 15 musical performers (a mixture of experienced artists and newcomers and six dancers ) were on stage and presented 25 Swiss hits . The whole thing was accompanied by a five-piece band. The total number of spectators for the first session was over 24,000.

Frank (played by Bo Katzman ) and Julia ( Nina Havel ), his girlfriend from Valais , are the owners of the beach club LIDO am See . The club is doing rather badly than right. Lisa and Tom, Frank's son and daughter, are studying and are at the LIDO during their holidays to help out. Everyone agrees that new ideas are needed and Tom, rather negligently, hires a troop that returned from Grenada , not entirely voluntarily . A rickety, colorfully painted tour bus drives up, the five members look quite adventurous.
The horror is considerable and the checking of the references does not exactly calm you down. Only Jerome, the gay waiter, likes the group, especially Robbie, the surfer from California. Tom remains optimistic, which he has to, because the five insist on their contract. You want to build a spa next to the LIDO; you have a lot of experience there. The mistrust remains constant, but the opening is still celebrated.
