Heiner Egge

Heiner Egge (born March 26, 1949 in Heide / Holstein ) is a German writer .

Life

Heiner Egge spent his childhood and youth on his parents' farm in Heide. After he passed his school leaving examination in 1967 , he did his military service and from 1969 studied German and history at the universities of Kiel , Marburg and Freiburg im Breisgau . Later he lived as a freelance writer in Buchenbach / Black Forest . Egge made trips to the Mediterranean and Africa .

From 1975 to 1988 he published the literary magazine Das Nachtcafé - magazine for literature, art and criticism . From 1985 he lived in Hamburg , where he ran a bookstore in Altona . In the 1990s he returned to his home in Dithmarsch ; after a temporary stay in Sarzbüttel , he has lived in Hennstedt since 1998 . Since 2000 he has been secretary of the Klaus Groth Society .

Heiner Egge is the author of novels , short stories and travel books . In 1977 he received the Georg Mackensen Literature Prize , a scholarship from the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben in 1993 and the Friedrich Hebbel Prize in 1994 .
