Heinrich Friedrich ( count since 1841 ) von Arnim-Heinrichsdorff-Werbelow (born September 23, 1791 in Werbelow , Uckermark , † April 18, 1859 in Berlin ) was a Prussian statesman.

Life

Arnim took part in the wars of liberation and then embarked on a diplomatic career. After he had been legation secretary in Stockholm and Paris , he acted as the Prussian envoy in Brussels from 1831 , from 1841 in Paris and 1845–1848 in Vienna , where he followed the path of Metternich's policy. Appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs on February 24, 1849, he resigned from this position on May 3, as he did not agree with the German ministry's policy at the time. From 1851 to 1857 he was again the Prussian envoy in Vienna , promoting as much as he could the good understanding with Austria , in which he always saw an indispensable ally of Prussia. From 1857 until his death he was a member of the Prussian manor house at the presentation of the von Arnim family . He died on April 18, 1859.
