Heinrich Hildebrand von Einsiedel (born November 14, 1622 at Scharfenstein Castle , † December 19, 1675 in Dresden ) was the Electoral Saxon Privy Councilor , President of the Court of Appeal , Director of the Landscape of the Principality of Altenburg , Lord of Scharfenstein, Weißbach and Lumpzig .

Life

He comes from the noble family von Einsiedel and is the son of Heinrich Hildebrand von Einsiedel auf Scharfenstein, Weißbach, Wolkenburg and Löbichau , who worked as an Electoral Saxon vice judge in Leipzig and at the same time was appointed chief tax collector and director of the landscape of the Principality of Altenburg . His mother, Sophia von Einsiedel, came from the Ponickau family . She died before her son was 4 years old.

Heinrich Hildebrand studied in Wittenberg , Altdorf and Strasbourg and lived for some time in France. When his father died in 1651, he returned to Saxony and shared an estate with his older brother Rudolph Haubold von Einsiedel in accordance with his father's will. As the younger brother, he received the two estates of Scharfenstein and Weißbach in the Ore Mountains . In the same year he received a civil servant position at the higher court in Leipzig.

In 1655 Einsiedel received a position at the appellate court, of which he later became president. In 1668 he was promoted to the electoral secret council.

He increased his property by purchasing the Lumpzig manor in the Principality of Altenburg. This enabled him to take over the paternal position of the landscape director there . He died in Dresden and was buried on May 10, 1676 in Großolbersdorf , where he had donated an altar to the church there during his lifetime. Einsiedel was a brother-in-law of the chief miner Abraham von Schönberg .

Heinrich Hildebrand von Einsiedel was married to Agnesa Eleonora, née von Schönberg , since 1653 , daughter of the cavalry master Abraham von Schönberg on Frauenstein in the Erzgebirge . From this marriage u. a. the sons Heinrich Hildebrand von Einsiedel (1658–1731), privy councilor in Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg , chancellor, chief tax director and Curt Heinrich von Einsiedel (1662–1712), royal Polish and electoral Saxon privy councilor, chamberlain, chamberlain and mountain ridge, lord on Weißbach and Dittersdorf.
