Heinrich Reiner

Heinrich Reiner (born December 10, 1892 in Hof , † January 15, 1946 in the Georgensgmünd camp near Nuremberg ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

After attending elementary school and the humanistic grammar school in Regensburg , Reiner joined the 4th Pioneer Battalion of the Bavarian Army as a flag junior in 1913 . In September 1914 he was promoted to lieutenant . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War, in which he fought as a pioneer and aviation officer on the Western Front . In 1917 he was appointed adjutant to the General of Pioneers at AOK 6 . In 1918 he was promoted to first lieutenant .

After the end of the war he was appointed company commander in the 4th Engineer Battalion in Ingolstadt . In March 1919 he was given leave of absence from the Freikorps Epp , where he took over tasks as a recruiting officer. From June to October 1919 he held a command at the officers' school in Munich. Later he was first lieutenant in the Reichswehr Pioneer Battalion 21 of the Reichswehr Rifle Brigade 21. He was later transferred to the Reichswehr Pioneer Battalion 7. In April 1920 he said goodbye. From 1920 to 1931 Reiner worked as an engineer in the construction and large electrical industry.

In April 1923 he joined the NSDAP, after the party was banned, he became involved in alternative NS organizations and rejoined the party after the ban was lifted in 1929. From 1932 he worked full-time in the party and among other things became adjutant to Jakob Sprenger . A few weeks after the National Socialists came to power , in July 1933 he was appointed to the government council of the Reich governor in Hesse . From August 1934 to June 1937 Reiner served as the deputy of the Gau leader of the Hesse-Nassau Gau and then held this honorary title. In April 1935 he became the deputy leader of the Hessian state government and the Reich governor in Hesse. In January 1936 he was appointed to the Hessian State Council and in January 1938 to the Hessian State Secretary .

In June 1935 he also took on duties as President of the German Red Cross (DRK). In January 1938 he became regional leader of the German Red Cross (regional office XII). In addition, there was the office of head of the Upper Hessian Utilities Association and membership of the supervisory board of Südwestdeutsche Flugbetriebs AG, Rhein Main Luftschiffhafen GmbH and Preußische Elektrizitäts AG.

From March 29, 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Reiner was also a member of the Reichstag for constituency 33 (Hesse) .

Due to an illness, he stopped day-to-day business in 1944. At the beginning of April 1945 he was arrested by members of the US Army and then interned. In mid-January 1946 he died in the Georgensgmünd camp.
