Heinrich Schäfer (politician, 1879)

Heinrich Maria Martin Schäfer (born November 11, 1879 in Remscheid , † September 1, 1951 in Meerbusch ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Life

The trained lawyer initially worked politically from 1912 as an alderman for the Center Party in Trier . On October 15, 1929 he was initially deputy mayor in Essen , but then appointed Lord Mayor on December 21, 1932 and introduced into his office on January 10, 1933. After the National Socialists took power, he was given leave of absence on April 5, 1933. He was then retired in July 1937.
