Heinrich Schellhorn (born April 29, 1961 in the Tyrolean Zillertal ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ). Schellhorn was 2013-2018 National Council in jun provincial government Haslauer. I , since June 13, 2018 he is governor -Stellvertreter in jun provincial government Haslauer. II .

education and profession

Born and raised on a mountain farm in the Tyrolean Zillertal, Schellhorn moved to Innsbruck to attend high school and study law, politics and history. During his studies he was a founding member of the critical lawyers Innsbruck and ÖH student representatives and did his community service . After completing his studies in 1985 with the academic degree of Doctor of Law, Schellhorn moved to Salzburg , where he completed the judicial year from 1985 to 1986 , then until 1990 as a lawyer and since then, since 1992, has worked as a lawyer in a law firm .

In autumn 2018 he was elected to the Supervisory Board of Salzburg AG as a representative of the co-owner of the State of Salzburg .

Political career

Schellhorn was the community representative for the Hallein Livable Campaign from 1992, from 1994 to 1999 he was the city councilor for regional planning and from 1999 to 2004 he was the city councilor for culture and youth. He retired from city politics after losing in the 2004 elections. From 2005 he was a board member and financial officer of the Salzburg Greens . After the state elections in 2013 , in which the Greens achieved their best result to date at state level with 20.18% of the vote and seven mandates after an election campaign marked by the Salzburg speculation scandal, it was in the, after brief negotiations, by the Greens together with the ÖVP and team Stronach under the new governor Wilfried Haslauer formed coalition government from June 19, 2013 State council with the agendas social, care, culture, folk culture and museums.

Schellhorn lives in Hallein-Rif and is the father of three adult sons.
