Heinz Lohmann (born October 10, 1948 in Emden ) is the former chairman of the board of the state hospital (today Asklepios Kliniken Hamburg ), management consultant and art collector.

After studying economics and social sciences at the University of Hamburg , Lohmann worked in the Hamburg health authority from 1979 (from 1988 authority for labor, health and social affairs) , most recently as head of the department for integrated social and health planning. In June 1992 he moved to what was then the Hamburg State Office for Hospitals (LBK) into the position of Managing Director Human Resources , responsible for around 14,000 employees at the time in the ten state hospitals of the State Office. In January 1996 he was elected deputy chairman of the board of the LBK, from October 1997 to April 2005 he was the board spokesman for the municipal company. In his era, the LBK was sold to the Asklepios-Kliniken Group , which he advocated, although in 2004 Hamburg's electorate voted 76.8 percent in a referendum against the privatization of the state's own hospital operations .

Lohmann has been organizing health industry congresses since 2005 and is a consultant for the health industry. In January 2005 he became a partner of WISO HANSE management GmbH and in 2008 also managing director of Lohmann Konzept GmbH , the production company Lohmann media.tv GmbH and the agency Gesundheitswirtschaft GmbH based in Vienna . He is president and scientific director of several industry congresses. Since 2006 he has been the first chairman of the lobby group Initiative Gesundheitswirtschaft (IGW), which he co-founded and of which he became honorary chairman in June 2018.

In July 2002, Lohmann was appointed Honorary Professor of the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg appointed. He is the author and editor of numerous specialist publications. He was a member of the board of trustees of the private MSH Medical School Hamburg . In addition, since 2015 Lohmann has been a member of the supervisory board of the municipal hospital association Gesundheit Nord in Bremen , Salus Altmark Holding gGmbH in Magdeburg and the chairman of the board of trustees of the Christoph Lohfert Foundation in Hamburg.

He moderates the programs “Mensch Wirtschaft!” And “Gallery Talk” on the local TV station Hamburg1 .

Lohmann is a member of the SPD and was elected deputy district chairman of Hamburg-Nord in October 1982 and reaffirmed in November 1984. From 1986 to September 1989 Lohmann was chairman of the SPD district (local association) Uhlenhorst - Hohenfelde .

Art collector and patron

Together with his wife, the former SPD member of parliament Ursula Lohmann , Lohmann has been collecting works of contemporary experimental art for many years . The couple has been running the “C 15” exhibition space in the Hamburg district of Uhlenhorst since 1994, in which works by Hans Braumüller , Klaus Geldmacher , Peter Nikolaus Heikenwälder , Jens Lausen , Francesco Mariotti , János Nádasdy and Gerd Stange were shown.
