Hendrick Zwaardecroon (also Henricus Zwaardecroon) (born January 26, 1667 in Rotterdam , Netherlands ; † August 12, 1728 in Batavia (now Jakarta ), Dutch East Indies ) was Governor General of the Dutch East Indies from 1718 to 1725 .
After the death of Christoffel van Swoll , Zwaardecroon was appointed governor general of the colony on November 12, 1718. The appointment was not confirmed until two years later. During his tenure he would have to contend with unrest in Batavia.
