Henkelshof is a statistical district of Remscheid and belongs to the Lennep district . It is located east of the old town of Lennep . In the north, Henkelshof borders the statistical district of Hackenberg .

The district is named after a residential area within the district. In addition, as an administrative unit, it includes the other residential areas and courts of Hardtshof , Holzerne Klinke , Jammertal , Auf der Hardt , Christhäuschen , Kleebach and Wiedenhof .

Infrastructure

The Hackenberg school and sports center is located in Henkelshof, which has made the northern part of the city famous beyond Remscheid, but is entirely located in the Henkelshof district. Every year at Whitsun, the soccer club SG Hackenberg organizes a big soccer tournament there. The Hackenberg school and sports center is the home of IGR Remscheid , the only roller hockey club in the city that currently plays in the roller hockey Bundesliga. Formerly there was a municipal hospital facility at Henkelshof.

School center

In the district of Henkelshof are the Albert Schweitzer Realschule, the advanced training college (evening school) as well as the Hauptschule Hackenberg and the Hilda Heinemann School (municipal special school with a special focus on "intellectual development").
