Stadtgarten is a district of the independent city of Remscheid and is located in the Lennep district . At the end of 2008 the population was 2,609. The area of ​​the district is 61 hectares. It borders on the Hackenberg district to the east . Prof.-Hermann-Platz is located directly between Röntgenstrasse and Teichstrasse, a small park with a playground, benches and an adjacent pond, which is fed by springs from the former Lennepebach.

Forest cemetery

The Lennep forest cemetery is located in the Stadtgarten district. The cemetery borders on Schwelmer and Hackenberger Straße. Due to its large population of tall trees, it has a park-like character. Its area is around 34,000 m². The first burial was carried out in 1938.

The Röntgen Gymnasium, named after Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen , is located on Röntgenstrasse . In addition, there is a former agricultural school right next to the Röntgen Gymnasium, which is now used as a further branch of the “Remscheid Music and Art School” and for other classrooms at the Gymnasium.
