Henri Légaré
Henri Légaré OMI (born February 20, 1918 in Willow Bunch , † July 19, 2004 ) was Archbishop of Grouard-McLennan .
Life
Henri Légaré joined the Order of the Oblates (OMI) and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1943 .
Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Labrador - Schefferville on July 13, 1967 . The Archbishop of Québec Maurice Cardinal Roy consecrated him on September 9 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Paul Dumouchel OMI, Archbishop of Keewatin-Le Pas , and Patrick James Skinner CIM , Archbishop of Saint John's, Newfoundland .
The Pope appointed him Archbishop of Grouard - McLennan on November 21, 1972 . He resigned from his office on July 16, 1996.
