Herbert Ebel

Herbert Ebel (born November 10, 1885 in Thorn , † November 6, 1963 in Bonn ) was a German administrative lawyer and mountain lawyer .

Life

After graduating from the Löbenicht Realgymnasium , Ebel studied law and political science at the Albertus University of Königsberg and the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . As the fifth of his family, he had been a member of the Corps Masovia since the winter semester 1906/07 . His mother's three brothers and one cousin were members of the Littuania Corps . Both sons became corps students : Günter Ebel died in 1944 as a medical officer in the Wehrmacht . The radiologist Herbert Ebel d. J. was the bearer of the corps of Rhenania Bonn (1944), Masovia (1959) and Palaiomarchia (1960). Son Herbert died in 2015 at the age of 90. Daughter Helga had died a few years earlier, daughter Ingemarie, actress and Gründgens' student, died at the age of 92 in early June 2018.

In 1911 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . After he had passed the assessor examination, he was briefly at the court in Hirschberg , Silesia . In 1916 Herbert Ebel, who married Elsa Pahl from Görlitz, moved to the Prussian mining administration. First he worked for the State Mining Directorate in Hindenburg , Upper Silesia . From 1920 to 1922 he was mining at the Oberbergamt in Clausthal-Zellerfeld and at the State Upper Harz Mining and Steel Works .

In 1923 he was appointed as a consultant in the mining department of the Prussian Ministry of Trade and Industry. Since 1924 Oberbergrat, he was given leave of absence from 1925 to 1927 with a special task at the Reich Ministry of Labor . In 1931 he became director and head of the legal department of the Miners' Insurance Office at the Oberbergamt in Halle (Saale) . In 1933 he was appointed to the Bonn Mining Authority.

After retiring, he was a regional administrative judge at the Gelsenkirchen Administrative Court from October 24, 1949 to 1953 and a reporter for all disputes pending in the administrative courts in North Rhine-Westphalia in the field of mining law. On his 68th birthday, he withdrew from this task.

From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the examination committees for mining assessors and mining engineers in North Rhine-Westphalia. From 1949 to 1956 he was a lecturer for mining law, labor law and social insurance at the TH Aachen and the University of Bonn . On March 31, 1956, he was 71 years emeritus .
