Hermann Stölting

Ernst Franz Hermann Stölting (* around 1837 in Ilfeld in the county of Hohenstein ; † September 16, 1883 in Celle ) was mayor of Offenbach am Main .

Born in what is now Thuringia as the son of a Hanoverian bailiff in what was then the Hanoverian exclave, Stölting spent his school days in Celle. In 1856 he began studying law at the University of Heidelberg , where he became a member of the Corps Suevia . In the following winter semester he moved to the University of Göttingen and joined the Corps Hannovera . He was elected mayor of the city of Münden (now Hann. Münden ) on June 6, 1868 . From 1874 to 1882 he was mayor of Offenbach.
