Ernst Alexander Hermann von Walther and Croneck (born March 14, 1801 in Spandau , † December 12, 1893 in Kapatschütz, district of Trebnitz ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Hermann was a son of the Prussian major in the Invalidenbataillon Vollrath Ehrenfried Hermann von Walther and Croneck (1752-1841) and his wife Wilhelmine, née Sprenger (1781-1865).

Military career

After attending a private school in Berlin, Walther joined the Kaiser Alexander Grenadier Regiment of the Prussian Army on October 3, 1816 as a three-year-old volunteer with the prospect of promotion and was promoted to captain and company commander by the end of July 1838 .
