The Hamburg Otto Group founded the company on March 1, 2006 with the company Hermes Warehousing Solutions GmbH as a 100 percent subsidiary. At that time, the company included the Hamburg and Haldensleben locations . The Westphalian location in Löhne focuses on the logistics of furniture, household and electrical appliances. A new logistics center with a gross floor area of ​​around 100,000 square meters opened here in mid-2016, bundling the majority of the operating facilities previously distributed in the Löhne region. The site has around 1,000 employees.

Around 5,000 people are employed at the company's four locations.

Services and customers

Award

In 2013, the Association of German Engineers (VDI) awarded its logistics innovation prize to Hermes Fulfillment.
