The Herrensee, Lange-Damm-Wiesen and Barnim-Hänge nature reserve is located in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg .
The 1082 hectare area with the identification number 1528 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 1, 2005 .
The area with the identification number 1528 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 1, 2005 . The approximately 1082 hectare nature reserve extends south of the city center of Strausberg and northwest and southwest of Hennickendorf , a district of the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin . In the middle of the nature reserve is Torfhaus , a district of Strausberg. The state road L 303 runs to the west, the L 33 to the northwest, the L 223 to the east and the A 10 to the southwest . The B 1 runs through the southern part of the area, and the 211 hectare Stienitzsee extends on the south-eastern edge .
