The Sacred Heart Church is a Roman Catholic church at ul. Franciszkańska 1 in Gliwice .

history

The buildings of the community initially belonged to the hut restaurant. This was converted into the Franziskusheim, the dance hall of the inn with a size of 15 by 32 meters was converted into a church and used as the Church of the Franciscans (OFM) . The buildings had their origin in 1796. The church was consecrated in 1924. Monastery rooms were added to the existing buildings.

In the 1980s, construction began on a new church building, the monastery building was torn down and later the former restaurant building. The new church is currently being completed. At the end of August 2009 the old church building was also torn down.
