The Anna Church in the Upper Silesian Gliwice (Gliwice) is a Roman Catholic parish church. The modern style church dates from the end of the 20th century and is dedicated to Saint Anne . The Anna church belongs to the parish of St. Anna in Gliwice (Gliwice) in the dean's office Gliwice-Łabędy of the diocese of Gliwice . It is located at Ulica Przyszowska 36 in the Łabędy (Laband) district in the Przyszówka (Waldenau) district.

history

The parish of St. Anna was founded on December 25, 1984 by Bishop Alfons Nossol (* 1932). Construction of the church began in the late 1980s. The church building was completed in 1990 and consecrated on October 14, 1990.

architecture

The Anna Church is a modern building with a brick facade without decorative elements and narrow glass facades. Some stone figures are on the facade. It has a single steeple with a metal cross on top.

The choir was designed by the sculptor Krzysztof Nitsch . There is a large cross with a figure of Christ above the altar. There are colored murals on the walls.
