Johannes Baptist Church (Gliwice)
The Johannes-Baptist-Kirche is a Roman Catholic church in the district Żerniki (Zernik) in Gliwice (Gleiwitz). The parish belongs to the Deanery Gliwice Śośnica.
history
Zernik was originally parish in Petersdorf . After purchasing a Dominial Barn, it was converted into an emergency church. The simple church was designed in the modern style and became the new parish church of Zernik.
On September 6, 1931, the church was consecrated by the Archbishop of Breslau Cardinal Adolf Bertram . In 2006 the Johannes Baptist Church received a church tower with three bells and a new sacristy .
