history
The town of Gleiwitz donated the church grounds to the parish of the All Saints Church in 1890. Since the parish church became too small for the parish, a second church was to be built on the property. The neo-Gothic Peter-Paul-Kirche was built between 1896 and 1900 according to plans by the architect Bruno Heer from Vienna. On September 10, 1922, the bells “St. Joseph "," St. Maria "and" St. Georg ”was solemnly consecrated by Pastor Jaglo.
When the diocese of Gliwice was founded on March 25, 1992, the parish church was elevated to the status of a cathedral church.
