The Hessian apple wine and orchard route , also known as the “apple wine route”, is a cycling and hiking route in Hessen and comprises a network of approx. 1000 km.

The route is divided into six regional loops and leads the hiker past orchards , cider bars and cider presses . The trails are marked with the uniform logo, the red apple in the green arrow. The restaurants along the way belonging to the apple wine route are also marked with it. Hiking maps are available from the municipalities or from participating partner companies. The “Apfelbot” is published regularly as a joint information brochure. Events, excursions and guided tours on apple cider topics are offered in the individual regions .

The Hessian Cider and Orchard route is not to be confused with the in Steinheim beginning Hessian apple wine route . The Hessian apple wine and orchard route was founded in 1995 in the Main-Taunus district. The individual partial routes can be started anywhere.
