The Village of Hewlett Harbor is in the Town of Hempstead . Like Lawrence , Hewlett Harbor is less urban than the other towns on Long Island's south shore and more like towns on the Gold Coast .

The village is bordered by Hewlett to the north and East Rockaway to the east along Rockaway Road . To the south lies the Hewlett Bay of the Atlantic Ocean . Neighboring to the southwest is Hewlett Neck on the west side of Georges Creek , and to the west is Hewlett Bay Park .
