use

Hexaflumuron is used as an insecticide specifically against termites . It inhibits the growth of insects because it intervenes in the synthesis of chitin .

Admission

Hexaflumuron was first approved in the United States in 1994.

Use as an active ingredient in pesticides is not permitted in the European Union. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no pesticides with this active ingredient are permitted.
