Coat of arms of those von Heydebrand

Heydebrand , also Heidebrand or Heydebrand and the Lasa , is the name of a noble Silesian family . The family, some of which still exist today, is related to the family of the Lower Silesian nobility, von der Heyde , who also have a similar coat of arms .

history

origin

The family was first mentioned in a document on January 25, 1287 with Heinrich von Berolisdorf ( Bärsdorf ) on Heinrichsdorf (Heinersdorf) near Liegnitz . The unbroken line of the family begins with him .

Niklin de Hayda in Liegnitz, who appears in a document in 1342 and was a descendant of Heinrich, who was mentioned in a document in 1287, is the first to use the name Hayda or Heyde. Around 1320, the Haidau property that gave it its name was separated from Heinrichsdorf. The von der Heyde name appeared from the second half of the 14th century.

In 1575 Lorenz Heidebrand on Lahse (in the former district of Militsch ) was first mentioned in a document. The name form probably goes back to a land inheritance of the Silesian family Brand. The spelling Heyde-Brand was also used until 1710.

Hans Christoph and Joachim Sigismund von Heydebrand were the founders of the two lines of the family.
