Prehistoric research

In the vicinity of his estate in Sierndorf, in the cadastral community of Unterzögersdorf (today in Stockerau ), there is a tumulus (the " Löwenberg ", for the name see Leeberg ), which was excavated by Colloredo-Mannsfeld in 1873. A wooden burial chamber with cremation was found, as well as bronze garments, stag horn axes and several decorated vessels. The finds are assigned to the Hallstatt period .
