| 1 | 1 | Newcomers | Susanne Teubner is convicted of the murder of her husband and admitted to the Reutlitz prison and has to experience the tough everyday life in prison. With her, Martina Thielmann is also a newcomer, who is despised by the inmates because of her alleged child murder. The nutritional situation in the prison is also coming to a head. Jeanette is hospitalized after suffering from food poisoning. While Walter incites the inmates to mutiny over the bad food, a fire breaks out in the kitchen. | 22 Sep 1997 |

Dagmar now wants to take over Walter's position, but is forcibly reprimanded by Walter. The murder of customs officers threatens to be discovered because new pipes have to be laid in the nursery. Alexander notices that Martina's supposed friend Gudrun played the wrong game and had her son Oliver in her care the whole time.
