Isabella Schmid

Isabella Schmid (born December 27, 1970 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actress .

Life

Isabella appeared on stage for the first time at the age of four. When she was 13, she began training at a youth theater school. From 1990 to 1994 she appeared in several Swiss theaters, where she starred in plays such as Frankie and Johnny , Fool for love or Tagdäumer . In 1994 she went to Munich and played in several television productions (including Polizeiruf 110 , Aus heiterem Himmel and Jurgericht ). However, she became best known for her role as Lollo Fuchs in the series Behind Bars - Der Frauenknast , in which she began in 1997.

After two years on the main cast of the series, her engagement there ended in 1999 with the death of her character. Then she played again at the theater and was also seen in several television productions (for example two years at the side of Jochen Busse in the RTL comedy series Das Amt ). Since 2003 Schmid has also been the station voice for the Zurich radio station Energy Zürich . After Schmid's best friend had died of cancer, she founded in 2005 Cinema for Life , is the last six months in the rotating days off with castmates like Hannes Jaenicke , Jochen Busse, Ursela Monn , Gerit Kling , Leonard Lansink , Katy Karrenbauer in hospitals road and reads plays. Lichtblicke - Actors Reading for Cancer Patients is the name of this first Cinema for Life project. With stage engagements in The Maids of Jean Genet , Servant of Two Masters and Murder On Call , she appeared in Switzerland and Germany. In 2007 Schmid got the movie role of Valeria in Geld oder Leben , in which she played a spirited mother. The film opened in theaters in 2008. From September 2010 to 2011 she was in the new ZDF telenovela Lena - Love of my Life as well as in the Swiss children's and youth series Best Friends on Swiss television .
