286	6th	Tears do not lie	Sascha and Hendrik have an arbitration meeting. This leads to both of them coming to terms with their past. Ilse searches in vain for Andreas on behalf of Walter. Ms. Mohr is afraid of meeting her former liaison Hubert, who is now married to Trude Schiller, on the upcoming company outing.	December 15, 2003
287	7th	company excursion	The workforce and their partners go on a cruise as part of a company outing. Birgit and Uwe get closer, Britta and Hendrik get closer again, old feelings come to light with Mrs. Mohr and Trude passes out. In Reutlitz, however, Ilse, Jeanette and Mel are planning a party. When this is canceled, there is a touching moment together with Stefanie with Fisch, who has found a connection to the community again.	December 22, 2003
288	8th	Receipt for Kalle	Kalle comes back to Reutlitz after her hospital stay and realizes how much she has messed with the others. Sascha is offered an open prison with an ankle cuff and could even live with Kerstin, but Sascha is skeptical about it. Stefanie is supplied with heroin by her husband. Fisch's attempts to help her fail.	December 29, 2003
289	9	Wall in the head	Sascha is allowed to leave Reutlitz with an electronic ankle cuff, but she has imagined her life in freedom differently. A theft causes an uproar among the staff.	January 5, 2004
290	10	Big sister, big worries	Maja's sister Andrea is brought to Reutlitz for drug trafficking and is bullied there by Gerda and Godzilla. Maja wonders whether she should tell the prison authorities about her relatives to Andrea. Uwe's personality comes out for the first time. He photographs the sleeping Nancy for sexual purposes. 291	11	Walter's choice	Walter lets himself be elected prison spokeswoman in order to be able to escape through her post with the help of Ines, but Lorenz suspects this and prevents it.	January 26, 2004
292	12	Low blows	Walter's attempt to escape fails. Mike is diagnosed with testicular cancer. Carrot mourns her bird that has escaped and Trude is jealous of carrots.	February 2, 2004
293	13	Dangerous trucks	Britta is pregnant by Hendrik. Maja is very disappointed in Andrea. Uwe goes back to Nancy and Birgit has separated from her husband.	February 16, 2004
294	14th	Blind trust	Fish is badly injured. Andrea learns about Steffi's HIV disease. Uwe and Birgit start a relationship.	February 23, 2004

297	17th	Canceled	Simone returns to Reutlitz. She seems cured and wants to take on Baumann's murder. However, she does not mention that she still has hallucinations from Jörg. Britta aborts her child. Ines is discovered by Gomulka and blackmailed.	March 22, 2004
298	18th	Track picked up	The investigation into Baumann's death is reopened and Melanie and Ilse must now fear being discovered. Kerstin meets her ex-fiancé and confesses to Sascha in front of her friends.	March 29, 2004
299	19th	Duds	Birgit receives a friend. The women get ready for the song competition, including the blind Jeanette and Walter, who hope that the victory will help them escape from Reutlitz. Kalle discovers that Nancy has been molested and so the inmates suspect Peter Kittler. But Birgit is shocked to find out who the real culprit is.	April 5, 2004
300	20th	The grand finale	Kalle instigates a mutiny against Kittler, but Walter realizes that Graul is the real culprit. Nancy finally releases Graul and so the inmates experience the song competition, which fish, Steffi and Andrea win. Birgit searches Uwe's apartment and is now also certain that her partner is a pedophile and has abused Nancy. Uwe finally kills himself with a shot in front of Birgit's eyes on Ward C.	April 12, 2004
301	21st	Breach of trust	The women learn of Steffi's HIV infection and harass her.	April 19, 2004
302	22nd	Hopeless	Sybille learns that Hubert is a marriage fraud. Walter's attempt to escape fails because Ines is blackmailed by Gomulka and thus prevents her from escaping. A meeting with Gomulka ends fatally for Walter's brother Andreas.	April 26, 2004
303	23	High noon	Ines betrays Gomulka so as not to endanger Walter's life. However, this puts her in a dangerous position.	May 3, 2004
304	24	Liberated	Ilses, Simones and Melanie's process has started. Sascha takes a false perjury and is then brought back to Reutlitz, where she separates from Kerstin. According to Walter's testimony, the three defendants begin to tell the truth about Baumann. While Ilse and Melanie are each sentenced to eight years in prison, Simone is acquitted and is able to leave the prison, where she is received by her son Alex. Your Baumann hallucination will go away with the end of the process.	May 10, 2004
305	25th	Deadly betrayal	Dr. Lorenz Strauss quits his position as head of the institution, Daniel dies of an overdose and through Minnie Steffi learns that Andrea had an affair with him until Daniel's death. Andrea's sister Maja is putting them under pressure. Walter and Nancy learn that Jeanette is only pretending to be blind. An attractive colleague named David Wilborn starts in Reutlitz and Britta wants Hendrik to have no more contact with his son Eric from now on.	May 17, 2004
306	26th	Uprooted	Andrea reveals that Gerda and Godzilla are behind the drug trade that is being moved to Preekow. Steffi makes peace with her mother-in-law at Daniel's funeral. Maja leaves Reutlitz for Vietnam, disappointed by Andrea. Miriam Overberg takes over as head of the institution.	June 7, 2004

300th anniversary series

The twelfth season includes the anniversary episode "The Grand Finale". In this episode, two major storylines are brought to a climax.

The death of Uwe Graul

When Kalle ( Isabelle Höpfner ) learns that her cousin Nancy ( Livia S. Reinhard ) has been abused, she starts a riot on Ward B and takes the suspect Peter Kittler ( Egon Hofmann ) hostage, without realizing that the real culprit is Uwe Graul ( Holger Hauer ) is. When she finds out, Graul puts an end to his life on Station C with a pistol. His pregnant partner Birgit Schnoor ( Uta Prelle ) remains behind .

Germany is looking for the talent in prison

As a satire on Germany Idol organized a song contest in Reutlitz. The event was moderated by Ruth Moschner and celebrities such as Jürgen Drews , Tamara Countess von Nayhauß and the journalist Ann Thorer appeared as jurors.
