The Church of the Holy Family was the Catholic church in Münchehof , a district of Seesen in the Goslar district in Lower Saxony . Most recently the church belonged to the parish of Maria Königin with seat in Seesen, it was the southernmost church in the dean's office Alfeld-Detfurth of the diocese Hildesheim . The church bore the patronage of the Holy Family and was located opposite the Protestant St. Antonius Church on the street Unterdorf . Today the nearest Catholic church is about four kilometers away in Seesen.

history

In 1975 the church was built.

On March 11, 2007 it was profaned by Bishop Norbert Trelle , and a few years later it was sold. Today the former church building is rented out as "Villa Kuddelmuddel" for public and private events of various kinds.

architecture

The church was built as a precast concrete church without a tower and was about 210 meters above sea level . Its external appearance has hardly changed since it was profaned. In 2017 a crucifix of the church in the St. Michael Church in Bilderlahe was installed again.

A number of other churches of this type of church were built in the Diocese of Hildesheim, mostly with a bell tower, for example in 1969 in Altenwalde and Sudmerberg , 1970 in Dungelbeck , Meckelfeld and Poggenhagen , 1971 in Afferde , Hohegeiß , Luthe , Meine , Schwanewede and Winsen (Aller) , 1972 in Gifhorn , Ronnenberg , Stederdorf and Wittingen , 1974 in Vorwerk , 1975 in Dransfeld and Rodenberg , and 1976 in Rhüden .
