Holger Weinert
Holger Martin Weinert (born October 29, 1951 in West Berlin ) is a German journalist and television presenter . He works mainly for the Hessischer Rundfunk .
Life
After graduating from high school in Cologne in 1971, Weinert spent two years as a voluntary nursing assistant for the Action Reconciliation Peace Service in the USA. He then studied Protestant theology and cultural studies in Bonn and Tübingen from 1973. He completed his studies in 1978 with an exam. In addition to his studies, he worked as a freelance journalist for the Schwäbisches Tagblatt and as a research assistant for the magazine for church history .
After a traineeship in Baden-Baden, Weinert worked from 1979 as editor of the Weser-Kurier and the Bremer Nachrichten . In 1984 he switched to Radio Bremen , where he worked for two years as an editor of the new regional magazine Buten un binnen . In 1986 Weinert came to the Hessischer Rundfunk, for which he still works as a presenter, reporter and documentary filmmaker within the framework of Hesse television .
On September 1, 2006, Holger Weinert entered into a civil partnership with his partner Roland Klostermann .
Weinert is personally and professionally committed to helping AIDS . He has lived in Offenbach am Main since 1999 .
Journalistic work
Weinert was the presenter of the Hessenschau from the beginning of his work at Hessischer Rundfunk until autumn 2005 . He then moderated the late- night magazine Hessenjournal, alternating weekly with the journalist Claudia Schick . On March 31, 2017, Weinert presented the Hessenschau for the last time and was then duly adopted by the editorial team. For other formats, however, it remains with the Hessischer Rundfunk. Together with Luc Jochimsen and Michel Friedman , he was responsible for the political magazine 3, 2, 1 .
Another focus of Weinert is reporting on celebrities, he was already in charge of this specialty at the Weserkurier. Between January 1998 and June 2008 he hosted the weekly program vipshow on hr television together with Monika Kullmann and his Golden Retriever bitch "Paula" . Again with Luc Jochimsen, Weinert reported on Hessian royalty between 1997 and 2000 .
From 1991 to 1995 Weinert hosted the show Holger's Laundromat . According to Weinert's own statement, the “laundromat” was his best-known program, which he is still asked about today. The 46 episodes were also broadcast by NDR , SFB and RB . In 1996 he visited celebrities at home for ZDF with the program Holger comes home. In 1997, Holger's gas station was another show trip to ZDF.
Between 1990 and 1998 Weinert produced five reports on various topics for ARD . The first was Ulis last summer in 1990 - the long dying with AIDS . 48 hours in the life of Ignatz Bubis followed in 1994. With Luc Jochimsen he shot a report about Günter Schabowski in 1996 , Accused: The Wall Opener. The two lives of Günter Schabowski . This was followed by another report on the immunodeficiency disease with Das AIDS-Wunder 1997. Weinert reported on a real estate scandal in Hesse in 1998 in Tod im Weinberg - the end of Count Matuschka . He also shot various episodes for the portrait series personally for ARD, including about Anne-Sophie Mutter , Gloria von Thurn und Taxis and Alfred Biolek .
From 1998 to 2015, Holger Weinert put a total of 35 episodes of the Hessian Highness series on air, as well as three ninety-minute forays through Hessian noble houses.
Since 2009 he sailed with prominent companions nine times the Rhine with the Rheinpartie (45 minutes), also Lahn, Fulda, Weser and Main.
Weinert has been visiting Holgers Hessen's reporter locations since 2013 . In addition, every year he and his colleague Monika Kullmann report in extra issues from the Frankfurt Opera Ball, the Ball des Sports in Wiesbaden, the Sports Press Ball and the Hessian Film and Cinema Prize.
