The Honda CBR 250 R is a single cylinder super sports motorcycle from Honda , manufactured in Thailand and India since 2011. It is primarily intended for the Thai and Indian markets, but is also sold worldwide. The model was offered in Germany until 2013. In emerging countries, where typical motorcycles have 125–150 cm 3 , the CBR 250 R is one of the top models among the sportier motorcycles.
Outwardly, the motorcycle bears a resemblance to “its bigger brothers” such as B. CBR 600 and CBR 1000 RR and accordingly the design is based on it. In first world countries, the CBR 250 R represents the lower end of the Honda motorcycle market; As an entry-level and / or everyday motorcycle, practical and energy-efficient, but with limited sporting properties, among other things because of the limited performance due to the relatively small displacement.
In the USA, the new CBR 250 R is the first competitor to the Kawasaki 250 R , which has been around since the early 1990s.
The CBR 250 R has an optional composite brake system with ABS, which is unusual for this price range (standard in Germany).
