Honda Innova
The Innova is a light motorcycle from the Honda company . Its origin goes back to the Honda Cub light motorcycle , which has been built several tens of millions of times since the 1950s and is considered the most frequently built vehicle in the world even before the VW Beetle . Since 2008, Innova has been available in Germany alongside other European countries. It is widespread worldwide and is also called Wave , NF , ANF125i or Supra depending on the location . A vehicle comparable to the Innova is the Suzuki Address . The Innova has not been sold in Europe since 2012, the successor model is the Wave 110i .
The motorcycle is equipped with a single-cylinder four - stroke engine with a displacement of 125 cm³ . The mixture preparation by gasoline injection makes the operation very energy efficient. The manufacturer puts the fuel consumption on the route at around 2 liters per 100 km.
In terms of appearance, the Honda Innova is a mixture of scooter and motorcycle , but is a real motorcycle (light motorcycle). The upright seating position, weather protection and the tank under the bench are similar to scooters. Typical for a motorcycle are the large wheels (17 inches), footrests, the engine mounted in the frame, a swing arm (no drive train swing arm!), The gear transmission (4 gears) and the chain drive of the rear wheel.
Other special features are: semi-automatic rocker switch and the closed chain case (protection against splash water, longer lubrication intervals). Because the engine works so efficiently, the Honda Innova is often taken to gasoline-saving conversions that are achieved solely through aerodynamic measures, which cut gasoline consumption in half again.
At the end of 2011, Honda announced that the Innova would no longer be offered. The floods in Thailand not only severely disrupted the production of computer components such as hard drives, vehicle and vehicle parts production was also affected. For Europe, imports from Vietnam and China are therefore planned from 2012. The model Honda Wave 110i with a displacement of 110 cubic centimeters, a little less power, slightly modified trim parts and cast wheels is the official successor and is then also sold on the European market with the name "Wave". Honda is trying to equalize internal competition in the lower segment.
