Previous model Innova

The Wave 110i is a light motorcycle that replaced the Innova in Europe , which in turn goes back to the Super Cub from 1958. The Wave 110i represents Honda's Cheap Urban Bikes (CUB) segment in Europe and, like the Innova, is particularly advertised for its economy. Among Honda's light motorcycles, it has the lowest purchase price (1,975 euros RRP including transfer) and the lowest fuel consumption (1.75 l / 100 km according to the WMTC test cycle) and also has the lowest values for other data such as power or weight.

The Wave 110i is a motorcycle whose design combines typical motorcycle and scooter characteristics. Motorcycle Typical are the large 17 "wheels, footrests , which under the mono-backbone steel frame -mounted engine, rocker arm , transmission and chain drive . Leg wind deflectors are typical for scooters as weather protection and the upright sitting position without knee closure on the tank, as this is located under the seat bench and thus creates a half-height step-through. It has a semi-automatic gearshift (foot-shifted four-speed gearbox with automatic centrifugal clutch) and is available in the colors Pearl Procyon Black and Candy Lucid Red .

Compared to the Innova , the Wave 110i has minimal displacement, compression, power, dimensions, weight, top speed, consumption and price. In addition, the trim parts were changed slightly and the spoked wheels were replaced by cast aluminum wheels.

With the conversion to the Euro 4 emissions standard, the sale of the Wave 110i as a new vehicle in the EU was finally discontinued in the 2017 season. It only fulfills the Euro 3 standard and can therefore no longer be registered as a new vehicle.

Market position

While the Wave 110i is one of the millions of volume models sold annually in Asia, which is an important means of transport in many countries, it serves a niche market in Germany.
