Model history and background

The motorcycle was designed primarily for the European market. The motorcycle was built on the modular principle. With the MTX 200 R , for example, they shared the tubular steel double loop frame and other components such as the speedometer. Various special accessories quickly established themselves in the accessories market - including those for increasing performance - which, however, in most cases did not conform to road approval . Technically it was innovative with its central spring strut at the rear. This was countered by the conventional drum brakes, which, however, were suitable for use in the field.
