Honschaft Lüdorf

The Honschaft Lüdorf was in the Middle Ages and the modern era a Honschaft in parish Hückeswagen in the Bergisch Office Hückeswagen (from 1555 Office Bornefeld-Hückeswagen ). She was one of four honors of the external citizenship of Hückeswagen .

In 1797 342 inhabitants, 76 fireplaces, 666 Bergische acres of arable land, 80 berg. Morning meadows, 1,020 mountains. Acres of forest, as well as five horses and 200 oxen and cows recorded.

The honor survived the communal reorganization in the Grand Duchy of Berg under French administration from 1806. After the French withdrew from the Confederation of the Rhine in 1813 after the defeat in the Battle of Leipzig , the honor was assigned to the mayor's office of Hückeswagen in the Lennep district under Prussia in 1815 .

In 1832, according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district, the honors included the residential areas and courts (original spelling) Bornbach , Born , Bornefeld , Tefendahl , (Ober) Langenbeck , (Nieder) Langenbeck , Heydt , Engelsburg , Radmacherslüdorf , Lüdorf , Repslöh , Dörpholz , (Ober) Velbeck , (Nieder) Velbeck , Jakobsöge , Hammersteinsöge , Dürhagen , Kritze , Steffenshagen , Dreshagen , Brashagen , Vosssiepen , Forsten , Kaltenborn , Höhsiepen , Goldenbergshammer , Hagermühle , Dorpmühle , Kräwinklerbrücke and Velbeckshammer .

According to statistics, the population in 1815/16 was 648. In 1832, the population was 782, divided into 57 Catholic and 725 Protestant parishioners. The living quarters of the Honschaft included a school, 110 houses, eleven mills or factories and 170 agricultural buildings.

On January 10, 1861, the external citizenship of Hückeswagen with its four honors was converted into the rural community of Neuhückeswagen .
