The Hudson Custom Six is the name of a series of six-cylinder automobiles that the Hudson Motor Car Co. in Detroit produced from 1936 to 1938. It was the successor to last year's Big Six and Hudson's cheapest model range.

The model 63 had a wheelbase of 3,048 mm and otherwise took over the data of the previous year's Big Six model: It was powered by an in-line six-cylinder engine with side-mounted valves, 3,474 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 76.2 mm × 127 mm) and an output of 93 bhp (68.4 kW) at 3800 rpm. A version with 100 bhp (74 kW) at 3800 rpm was also optional. available. The engine power was passed on to a three-speed gearbox (with center shift) and then to the rear wheels via a single-disc oil bath clutch. The hydraulic brakes were new this year and worked on all four wheels. A semi-automatic preset transmission was available as an option.

As with most of the other Hudson models of this year, there were mainly 2-door bodies, but there was also a 4-door sedan.

In 1937, the wheelbase of the 73 model grew by 2 "to 3,099 mm. New this year were the doors hinged at the front and the narrow radiator grille extending into the bonnet. The engine now achieved 101 bhp (75 kW) at 4,000 / min.

In 1938 the vehicles were redesigned again. The Model 83 now had a grille with a chrome center rib and horizontal bars on either side. The 112 model and the Terraplane replaced the Custom Six as the cheapest model.

In the following year the DeLuxe Six was discontinued in favor of the better equipped Country Club Six .
