Nash Twin Ignition Six
The Nash Twin Ignition Six was a six-cylinder passenger car produced by the Nash Motors Company in Kenosha . It was only produced in model year 1930 and replaced the Nash Advanced Six .
The Twin Ignition Six, Model 480 , had chassis with either 2,997 mm or 3,258 mm wheelbase. The overhead six-cylinder in-line engine with double ignition had a displacement of 3,966 cm³ (bore × stroke = 85.7 mm × 114.3 mm) and developed 74.5 bhp (54.8 kW) at 2,800 rpm. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a single-disc dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox (with center shift). All four wheels were braked mechanically.
As with the larger Twin Ignition Eight , there were various open and closed structures with 2 to 7 seats.
In 1931, the eight-cylinder 880 model replaced the Twin Ignition Six.
