Hugo, der Weiberschreck is a German film fun game from 1969 by Hans Albin . Peter Garden played the title role .
action
Title "hero" Hugo alias Thomas Dingelfing is less of a woman's fright than more of a ehephobic contemporary who would much rather have his amorous leisure time with the ladies than marry one of the beautiful youngsters. One day, however, his “well-meaning” friends find that he should finally get under the hood. The young lady belonging to it has already been peeked out, but again Thomas is seized by naked panic. His friends have a “brilliant” idea and simply kidnap the chosen one. Now it should show whether Hugo is a whole guy and tries to save the beautiful. The allegedly kidnapped but de facto abandoned bride meets him again in the role of a striptease dancer. After a few more turmoil, Thomas finally realizes that she is the one for him, and he is finally ready to swap rings with her.
Production notes
Hugo, der Weiberschreck was created at the beginning of 1969 and was premiered on April 25, 1969 in Würzburg.
The film structures were designed by Nino Borghi . For acting veteran Hans Zesch-Ballot , who embodies the father of the title hero, this was the last film role.
criticism
“A silly comedy, carelessly wound down. The film wants to get its joke from coarse pseudo-susceptibilities, whereby it is as clumsy as it is suggestive. "
“Winded-down swank film at the lowest level in terms of form and content. Totally unnecessary."
